10: A Day in New York City
December 29, 2009
Aaron and I went out to New York City today. We mainly meandered into the city to check out the 5th Avenue sales (we didn’t buy anything; surprised?), but we ended up wandering into Times Square.
On the way out, I got my grades, found a heads up penny, and the train doors stopped right in front of us! It was my lucky day!
So we decided to buy three lottery tickets. I’m sad to say that we had no luck on all three scratch-offs.
Sadly, we couldn’t hit any of the wonderful shops suggested to us in the last post and we’re leaving tomorrow. However, we couldn’t resist eating some proper New York pizza! IT WAS DELICIOUS!
As always, we took pictures
.
We leave for DC tomorrow to play tourist! Updates soon.
8: From New York City to Albany
December 24, 2009
Last night, Aaron and I got into New York City and saw “In The Heights” with 90% of the original cast. It was fantastic; if you get the chance, it’s a must-see (for no other reason than Javier Muñoz; that man can RAP).
Today, we ate breakfast with Aaron’s parents in Great Neck and then drove up to Albany. At this point, Aaron and me are getting a little tired from all the activities we’ve planned. What happens when you get stir crazy?
(One of these didn’t flip; my bad!!)
We also took a few pictures! Not much to see though:
7: To New York City
December 22, 2009
I’m headed out to New York City tomorrow after spending 24 hours with my parents. Aaron and I will be seeing “In The Heights” on Broadway for our anniversary.
This was their Tony’s performance for “Best Musical.” I can’t wait!
